I love working with teens, young adults, and women navigating life transitions, trauma, relationship issues, identity, and deconstruction. I hope to create space for people to be seen, heard, and loved so meaningful change can happen. I strive to empower clients to believe they are capable of growing and healing the areas of their lives that feel stuck in. I integrate many treatment modalities for each client because everyone is unique and their needs are different, but overall, I want therapy to be a collaborative process.
My goal is for people to leave my office feeling less alone and have a greater sense of autonomy. My hope is to meet every client where they are and make them feel safe and valued. Stories are a huge part of my approach to therapy. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and that clients are the experts on their lives and I feel honored to enter into that space with them. I incorporate techniques from narrative, collaborative, somatic, trauma-informed, and cognitive behavioral-based interventions.
I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Premarital Counseling. Through collaboration and curiosity, clients can gain insight into who they are and what has led to the current problems they are facing. Ultimately, this leads clients to be more in tune with themselves and find the freedom to make necessary changes and get “unstuck.”
When I am not in sessions, I am spending time with my new husband, Jacob, and our dogs Winnie and Wrigley. My favorite forms of self-care are moving my body, eating chips and guac, and watching reality TV! I will always have at least three drinks in my hands at all times: Iced Lattes, Dr. Pepper, and Water. I was born in Nashville, and have lived here my whole life, with a short break for school in Texas. I am a proud Enneagram 6 who will always be ready for anything, I have an exit plan at all times!
I graduated with my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University (Go Wildcats) in 2021 and have been practicing since. I have experience working in a variety of settings including group practices, university student life, and a treatment center. I am a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
